"I started volunteering with Homeschool Co-op 2020 in June. I was bored at home and itching to do something meaningful with my time, despite the fact that the pandemic shut down pretty much all other volunteering opportunities. At first I thought I would only stay a month or two, but I'm still involved and I plan to be as long as I can manage. It was a very rewarding experience; I learned many job and interpersonal skills which I never would have learned at school, I connected with really great people and I'm glad that I could help out kids and families get through these hard times. Education was always important to me, and I'm very proud that our organization is able to provide such fun and versatile classes for free--even to children who come from less fortunate economic circumstances."
